For our client, AstraZeneca in Mölndal, we are looking for a lab-based senior research scientist specialized in assay development.
The purpose of the assignment is to provide expertise in the competency of enzyme/protein-based assay development, propose experimental strategies and perform experiments.
Preferred starting date is as soon as possible for this assignment, with a duration of 6 months with possibility for extension to 12 months. We offer you a permanent position at Poolia Science. Don't hesitate to apply today as selections and interviews are held on an ongoing basis.
Publiceringsdatum2012-01-05Dina arbetsuppgifterYou will propose, perform, optimize and analyze enzyme/protein-based assay experiments.
You must have:
• expertise in enzyme/protein-based assay design
• theoretical understanding of assay design relevant to the biochemical mechanism
• practical understanding of assay optimization to enable generation of robust, reproducible and sensitive assays and preferably experience of statistical tools such as factorial experiment design
• a thorough understanding of enzyme/protein-based technology platforms
• knowledge of detection technologies, including spectroscopic (e.g. absorbance, fluorescence modalities), luminescent and label-free detection
Utbildning/erfarenhet
MSc or PhD in biochemistry or similar field, with a few years of work experience within the field.
As a person you should be goal oriented and able to take own initiatives with a problem solving attitude. It is also important that you have a positive attitude with good social and communications skills.
