Cobra Biologics is a leading biologics and pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organisation dedicated to designing robust processes for its international life science customers. Across our three facilities in Keele (UK), Södertälje ( Sweden) and Matfors (Sweden) we deliver quality commercial, clinical, and pre-clinical products. Cobra's services include; cell line development, analytical and process development, cGMP production, fill/finish and lyophilisation of recombinant proteins, antibodies, DNA, viruses and whole cell products. All our programs meet cGMP standards with full regulatory support.
We are currently looking to recruit a Scientist, within the Analytical and Purification Section at Södertälje, Sweden, specialized in Chromatographic techniques for protein analysis and qPCR methods. This role is a permanent position.
The successful candidate will be required to work closely with the cell culture and analytical teams, project managers as well as with other functions within the organization.
The main duties will include:
• Ensure the development of analytical HPLC methods (SEC, Affinity, IEX, RPC)
to meet customer requirements
• Analytical support of chromatographic techniques in customer projects
• Analytical support of DNA techniques (qPCR, picogreen, threshold)
• Ascertain appropriate quality and design of analytical methods
• Close collaboration and proactive interaction within delivery teams and with other operation teams to meet customer requirements
• Generate analytical reports, validation documentation, instrument qualification documentation and other documents.
• Conduct GMP related activities such as Change control, deviations and basic investigations
• Technical trouble-shooting
• Maintenance and calibration of equipment, validation of new equipment
Qualifications:
• MSc or BSc with at least 2 years of experience in relevant area
• Very good theoretical and practical knowledge of Chromatographic techniques
• Good theoretical and practical knowledge of DNA techniques, specially QPCR
• General theoretical knowledge, experience and track record in analytical sciences related to recombinant proteins and monoclonal antibodies in a regulated environment
• Good understanding of laboratory work in a GMP regulated environment
• Experience of instrument qualification, method development and validation
• General understanding of biopharmaceutical product development
• English and Swedish language skills
