Position description
You will be part of the R&D team in Uppsala, currently consisting of around 50 people, and together with a senior colleague work on the development of Olink's affinity strategy and assay library. You will report directly to Head of R&D. The R&D function is responsible for the global product development within Olink, working together with other functions in the company within the different development projects.
Affinity strategy is a key function in the development work and a cornerstone for the ongoing product development. The work is carried out in close collaboration with external partners as well as with several internal functions within Olink. You will as an expert become involved also in supply chain and commercial aspects of development of our assay library, as well as with the continued assay development. It includes coordination and evaluation of the antibody development work carried at our external partners. It is an exciting position aimed at enabling a strategic part of Olink's development work.
Primary responsibilities
• Assist in the development of strategies and provide scientific support to enable the growth of Olink's assay library.
• Evaluate technologies for antibody development and plan, coordinate and drive the development of antibodies at external partners.
• Plan and assist in evaluation of antibody performance in our applications.
• Actively collaborate with several different functions in the company, including within R&D, Business development and Supply Chain.
Qualification/Skills
• MSc or PhD in Molecular biology, Biotechnology, Immunology, Protein chemistry or related field.
• Several years' experience from working in R&D within a relevant field at a life science, biotech, or pharma company
• Theoretical and practical experience from production of recombinant proteins and/or antibodies
• Theoretical and practical experience from the development of immunoassays, or other methods to study proteins.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the proficiency to analyse large amounts of data and a result-oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and, preferably, in Swedish.
