The Arena:
We have an opportunity within Drug Product Delivery, it is a combined role of working with GMP operational pack and label activities and taking a key role in technology / equipment improvement projects within the department. We work in a faced paced environment where flexibility and agility enable us to deliver high value to early phase clinical trial studies. We are currently driving improvements in our GMP equipment and particularly interested in candidates with expertise / interest in working with automated/semi-automated equipment and process improvement.
We offer GMP training and experience and the opportunity to get valuable experience with GMP equipment life-cycle management and LEAN techniques. You will work alongside GMP operational supply chain professionals and project managers gaining exposure and experience of the R&D Global Supply Chain from manufacture to distribution.
Drug Product Delivery
Drug Product Delivery (DPD) in Gothenburg is part of the AZ, R&D Supply Chain, tasked with packing, labelling and distributing investigational products to AZ clinical trials around the globe. We focus on early phase clinical trials and work with highly novel potential products across a broad range of disease areas. The role holder will contribute to the DPD organization in the R&D Supply Chain by applying their technical expertise in the complex and regulated GMP environment. All activities will have a significant impact on the speed, quality and cost of the AZ development portfolio.
Accountabilities/responsibilities:
• Perform and document all the operational work according to written procedures and GMPs with manual and/or automated systems/equipment.
• Engaged in the development and improvement of internal processes and manage deviations
• Write GMP and SHE procedures within own area and will be responsible for related training and compliance activities
• Responsible for maintaining / developing defined facilities or equipment according to GMP Standards
• Will have an understanding of the principles and concepts of Drug product delivery as well as how the team interacts with SC R&D, PT&D and AstraZeneca globally
• Using own functional knowledge to provide technical guidance

• Good written and verbal English and Swedish language skills
Education and Experience:
• Likely to have a BSc or MSc and relevant work experience or to have work life experience of at
least 5 years from a LEAN manufacturing environment.
• Experience in packing, labelling and distribution or similar transferable scientific skills
• Understanding of GMP/GDP requirements as applied to clinical supply chain
• Demonstrated ability to work with teams in a culturally diverse, complex, changing Environment
