Interested in an administrative scientific role at ECDC focused on Vaccine Preventable Diseases? We are currently looking for an interim requested to perform various tasks in the expert group focusing on Vaccine Preventable Diseases at Expert to the European Centre for Disease Prevention (ECDC).
Work duties
The interim shall be requested to perform various tasks in the expert group focusing on Vaccine Preventable Diseases including:
• Contribute to - and support the work on establishing a platform for information sharing on the introduction of new vaccines in national immunisation schedules (cooperation with WHO Europe).
• Assist the monitoring of the VENICE III project (a collaborative project between EU member states and ECDC covering immunisation topics) which includes budget monitoring, project progress monitoring.
• Assist in the follow up of the activities with EU member states on the introduction of menigoccocal B vaccination in Europe.
Competences and experience
In addition to the profile specification, these specific competences and experience are required for the assignment:
• Experience in vaccine preventable diseases, technical reports on VPD issues (such as expert opinions, systematic reviews and/or guidance documents).
• Experience in project management of contracts in the scientific area and in the review of deliverables (preferably in the area of VPD).
• Experience in public health.
• Team working ability is crucial.
• Excellent communication skills in English needed (written and spoken).
• Experience in public procurement is an advantage.

Job type: Full time, temporary employment with start 1st of May 2017. The assignment is one month but there is a possibility for extension up to a total length of 12 month.
