This is an exciting role for a motivated Caretaker /IT to join an excellent school in a growing company.
At Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) we make a difference in the lives of our students. IES schools have a dynamic international atmosphere with staff and students from all over the world. IES Landskrona is a school for grades F - 9 with nearly 600 students and 65 staff. We follow the Swedish national curriculum with up to 50% of teaching in English. We are a school with a clear structure that enables teachers to focus on teaching and where students know what is expected of them. Our values are based on the fact that we believe in the student 's abilities and potential, we always put learning and knowledge first. The school is bilingual (Swedish and English) and about half of our outstanding teachers and staff come from abroad, lending the school a strong international profile. We provide an international and stimulating environment, where commitment, professionalism, tough love and the English language are common denominators.
The role
Do you have a passion for IT and enjoy sharing your knowledge? Would you be a good role model for our students? Do you have good knowledge of basic building maintenance? We are currently recruiting for a combined IT & Caretaker position.
The main responsibilities involve local:
• Site security to keep students and staff safe, including locking/unlocking the building at appropriate times.
• Maintenance of the premises, ensuring the smooth operation of the school environment; including maintenance tasks, installing and assembling new products.
• Preparing areas of the school for activities including assemblies, functions, meetings, etc.
• IT Resource planning and maintenance (using existing suppliers and solutions)
• IT Support and training (staff and students)
• IT Operations (informing service providers on issues).
The role is entry level and diverse. You may find yourself assisting within a classroom environment and hosting workshops and training modules tailored for staff and students one day, whilst fixing furniture the next. All our IT services are provided by external drift partners who you will be in close contact with for support and maintenance. Our main platform is Google Workspace for Education (formerly known as Google Apps).
