ESAB has an open position as SAW Welder at ESAB Process Center

As a main group in Global R&D Filler Metals, Research Center has a key role in achieving successful product development. It is done through research, method and tool development, advanced analysis work, welding, pilot production as well as customer support. The Research Center organization is designed to provide both short term solutions and long term know-how within welding metallurgy and welding applications/processes.

The SAW Welder will be part of Process Center in Gothenburg. Process Center is a subdivision to our Research Center.

As a SAW Welder your responsibilities will be to:

• Have quality in focus
• Cooperate with and support R&D in the development process
• Support projects in line with the product strategy
• Perform welding tests and welding procedures
• Weld orders according to given specifications
• Evaluate/benchmark consumables and equipment
• Arrange welding demonstrations and training for our customers
• Support customer installations and welding procedure settings
• Document: writing reports and WPRs
• Within area of responsibility - keep up to date with latest equipment, techniques and consumables
• Drive development of own welding competence
• Take part in the development of Process Center

Who are you?

We believe that you have been working 5-10 years with the SAW process in different applications and that you have a basic knowledge also in other welding processes. You have a good insight in process parameter settings and effect and also a good knowledge in equipment and materials. Experience of welding different steel qualities (HSS, SS, Ni alloys and CrMo) is a merit. An IWS or IWT is considered as an additional qualification.

You have the ambition to become the best SAW welder at ESAB. As a person you are self-driven, open minded and innovative with a strong driving force to process and resolve issues in a timely manner. You successfully interact, build and retain good relations with our internal and external customers. You are comfortable in using IT tools and are proficient in both written and verbal communications in English and preferably also in Swedish.

The position is placed in Gothenburg, Sweden. Occasional traveling is required.
