 We are now recruiting a SAR Screening Scientist for an assignment, preferably with start as soon as possible, location Mölndal.

Job Purpose:

This role is to be lab-based, deliver high quality data from biochemical and/or cellular screening formats, propose experimental strategies and troubleshoot problems in order to make a significant contribution to the practical delivery of projects. All work is to be carried out in accordance with SHE requirements and in compliance with all AZ Corporate responsibility policies. The following skills are highly desirable:

• Experience in protein and/or cellular screening
• Theoretical understanding of assay design
• Understanding of protein and/or cellular assay technology platforms and ability to troubleshoot
• Practical understanding of automation and its application to medium throughput screening
• Knowledge of detection technologies (e.g. absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, radiometric and label-free)
• Understanding of data analysis and conversion of screening data to biological parameters

 Accountabilities:

In this role you should work independently to contribute to the design and analysis of experimental procedures by incorporating the views of others while moving forward. You should interpret experimental data and play a role in the planning of further experiments. The successful candidate is a communicative and effective team player that likes to work within a group and collaborate while meeting deadlines. You should contribute to the continuous improvement process in the workplace and maintain an awareness of current developments in the literature.

Qualifications:

You should have a first degree or equivalent with at least one years relevant experience in a similar position in drug discovery
