On our client's behalf, we are seeking an experienced SAP Work Clearance Management (WCM) Consultant. There is travel required, as this position will start in Germany and the person should be "on and off" onsite in Germany (Thüringen). SO travel is required in general, but not every week. The consultant may also need to travel to the Netherlands. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful implementation, configuration, and support of SAP WCM and PM modules. You will collaborate closely with business units, technical consultants, ABAP developers, and other functional teams to meet the specific needs of our client.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to analyze and understand business processes and requirements, specifically related to Work Clearance Management.
Advise the business on standard SAP WCM functionalities and gain insight into their custom developments to further enhance processes.
Configure SAP WCM and PM modules to meet business requirements and implement custom solutions as needed.
Manage change requests and resolve incidents (tickets) in the system.
Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to address issues and ensure smooth system integration.
Conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure a seamless transition of functionalities from legacy systems to new implementations.
Adapt to evolving project requirements and collaborate with various functional consultants and key users from MM, FI, and authorization modules.
Document business requirements, participate in requirements workshops, and assist in writing the WCM section of blueprints.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP WCM and PM roles, either in implementation or support.
Strong understanding of SAP WCM processes, including work permit management, isolation management, and risk assessment.
Proficiency in configuring and customizing SAP WCM to meet business needs.
Ability to read and understand ABAP code for error analysis and effectively communicate technical requirements to ABAP developers.
Experience integrating SAP WCM with other SAP modules, such as PM (Plant Maintenance), MM (Materials Management), and EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety).
Fluent in both English and German (speaking, reading, and writing) to effectively communicate with stakeholders in multinational environments.
Strong experience in creating blueprints, gathering requirements, and documenting deltas.
Optional Skills:
Basic knowledge of ABAP programming for troubleshooting and understanding custom code related to SAP WCM.
Education:
Expertise in SAP WCM module configuration and customization.
Proven ability to document requirements and create blueprints based on workshops and business needs.
