The SAP Consultant at Open Text bridges the gap between the technical SAP world of ABAP development and interfaces, and the business processes of our customer, e.g. Procure to Pay. Therefore a combination of deep technical SAP knowledge and ABAP developments and a wide range of equally important ?soft? consulting skills such as advanced customer facing skills, customer relationship building, facilitate/lead blueprint design and requirements workshops, and excellent communication skills are required for this role. As consultant within Open Text Nordic, you will be the expert consultant involved in full lifecycle of a project.
EXPECTATIONS
• Designing solutions to meet business requirements, and communicating those designs effectively through specifications.
• Focus is on the Open Text solutions which SAP is re-selling. Majority of projects are related to the SAP Procure to Pay business process of our customers. Development and business process experience in the Procure to Pay area of SAP is important. Other solutions include SAP Employee File Management (HR) and SAP Archiving (both Document focussed as Data archiving)
• Developing solutions using ABAP technology
• Planning and coordinating unit testing and integration testing phases
• QA of developments & specifications
• Good problem solving and Trouble-shooting of specific problems for customers
• Must be willing to travel regularly in the Nordic region

• Design and build innovative solutions using ABAP, in order to meet complex and challenging customer requirements.

• Quick Learner e.g. about a new technology, or about a customers business processes
• Demonstrate commercial awareness, i.e. identify commercial opportunities.

• Demonstrate a passion for consulting and technology
• Degree level education, preferably computer science, business systems or another technical / engineering subject or experience
Position Requirements
WORK EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 3 years professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in consulting
• Experience should include at least two full cycle implementations (from blueprinting to go-live)
• ABAP development skills are a must, including ABAP OO.
• Additional SAP Netweaver related knowledge such as SAP Workflow would be beneficial.
