You will be part of an experienced team in an international and multicultural environment within a department supporting our current and future challenges in the SAP area.
Within Volvo Group, we operate more than 40 different productive SAP on-premises systems, several SAP cloud solutions and we use innovative solutions like CPI/SIS, IAG, SAP DI, workload on Azure etc.More than 400 employees and contractors work in the SAP area and 75.000 employees use the systems.
TheSAP Architecture teamconsist of 10 SAP Architects in Sweden, France, India and Poland, and we are now looking for aSAP Infrastructure Architect to work in Goteborg (Sweden). You would support our next challenge - the move towards the new SAP solutions like S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, SAP SaaS solutions on Cloud. You will work within the SAPCenter of Expertise (CoE) which is part of Volvo Group IT & Digital. The SAP CoE manages IT activities and drive change initiatives in the SAP area for Volvo Group. Our SAP Architects take part in global assignments in Volvo Group, creating value through SAP tech watch, guides and frameworks, project deliveries and maintenance support.
The SAP CoE has a very close collaboration with SAP and we are ACCOE certified and long-term users of SAP MaxAttention, which gives us strong support when required.
Your Mission:
Your focus will be on SAP Infrastructure Solutions and secure they are configured and deployed according to IT and Security directives and policies within Volvo.
In your role, you will interact with our Infrastructure Service Provider (HCL), with the Volvo Group Infrastructure Architecture team and with the Volvo Infrastructure Service Management (IOS) team to develop and enhance the SAP Application Hosting Services delivered to Volvo. More specifically to support a move of SAP to Cloud and subsequently a move into the new S4 platforms. Your main responsibilities would be in the areas of infrastructure, OS, networks, and security.
You will split your time between two main focus areas:
Focus area oneis to work on change projects as technical IT Architect with infrastructure focus:
You will be responsible for design of SAP application infrastructure following SAP best practices, SAP roadmaps and Volvo Group architectural frameworks
In infrastructure heavy assignments you can have the project role of Lead Architect with overall responsibility for solution design
You will drive and follow up on deliveries provided by our infrastructure service provider (HCL)
You will combine and match business needs with SAP solutions, as part of a project team
You will participate in reviews of architecture concepts and solutions within the SAP community
You will support development and enhancement for the SAP Application Hosting Service and related product roadmaps in cooperation with the IOS organization (Infrastructure and On-site Services)
Focus area twowill be to drive Proof of Concept initiatives and pre-studies:
Active contribution to incoming pre-studies on strategic SAP innovation projects (S/4HANA transformation projects mainly)
Propose and drive technology watch activities on SAP new solutions & technologies: SAP SaaS, SAP digital transformation (S/4HANA transition, SAP BTP offering, Cloud MS-Azure ... )
Build and perform presentations of "SAP news" to global communities and SAP solution's responsible of Volvo Group (Business and IT)
Create/enhance SAP implementation standards for Volvo
Who Are You?
Graduated with a master's degree or an engineering school in IT and have at least 5 years of experience as SAP infra-Architect and/or SAP NetWeaver administrator.
Prior experience with S/4HANA, HANA DB, ECC 6.0 and PI 7.5.
Good understanding of architecture principles and methods. You can define and manage landscape design for SAP solutions.
Understanding and experience with Cybersecurity concepts and standards
Experience with cloud infrastructure architecture is a plus, MS-Azure and SAP BTP Platform.
Knowledge/experience working in an agile environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to deliver management briefings.
You must speak English fluently.
