SAP Centre of Excellence (CoE) is a function within Group IT, globally responsible for delivery and governance of all SAP based solutions within the organization. We are organized around two areas of delivery; support and maintenance of productive solutions, and new development implementation projects. Geographically our team is located in the Volvo Car Group's offices in Gothenburg and Shanghai. The delivery model is global with a balanced mix of on-site and offshore staff for both maintenance and project deliveries. The demand for SAP based solutions is growing for all processes within the company and our role of governance is growing more important. We are present during the entire solution life cycle, and in the initial phase of projects, solution and technical architecture and business fit is secured as well as project standards and quality compliance. In maintenance the continuous change and improvement process and landscape lifecycle are the main governing tasks. The organization as well as our team is in an expansive period and we are looking for you that can contribute and be a part of our SAP team.
As a SAP Global ABAP & PI Application Manager you will be a part of the CoE team with a responsibility to provide support and governance for architecture and the technical solution design validation & verification to both business and IT project teams. Your goal is to influence the use of SAP within your area in a way that will give the best total benefit to the Volvo Cars business. A daily task is to participate in the work to find the right balance between the overall advantage of an enterprise wide integrated standard process, and the uniqueness of business that bring that extra edge. The work spans from technical and functional detailed matters to contribute with content in strategic work. You will work in close cooperation with several roles like the Application Manager for Basis and the SAP Domain Architect in the existing SAP landscape at Volvo Cars to secure the SAP integration platform. The role is challenging with good development possibilities within the company.
Main responsibilities
* You as an application manager will be responsible to maintain and secure the PI Application health and availability with support from BASIS team
* You will be responsible for doing the reviews and validation of projects blue prints, functional & technical specifications
* Work with performance improvement and optimization of the existing solution
* You will be responsible for application life cycle management & planning
Required qualifications
* University degree in either Engineering, Business Administration or an IT related topic
* Must have hands-on experience in both ABAP & PI
* Strong experience in implementation and support projects
* Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience
Experience in PI
* Must have hands-on experience in Design and Configuration of interfaces using adapters like File/FTP, RFC, IDOC, SOAP, HTTP, JMS, SFTP
* Knowledge of JMS adapter is must
* Must have the knowledge on SLD e.g. creating of technical and business system and transportation
* Strong experience on monitoring and troubleshooting
* Strong experience in ALE-IDOC setup e.g. Port Creating/Partner Profile Creation/Distribution Model setup etc.
* Must have the knowledge of end-end IDOC interface setup
* Strong knowledge of ABAP proxy sync/async development for PI interfaces
* Should have experience on Process Orchestration (PO) for PI7.4 or later
Experience in ABAP
* ABAP Technical development hands-on experience e.g. ALV reports, OO Programming, Function Modules/BAPI/RFC, SAP Script, Smart Forms, ABAP Objects, BADI, User Exits, BDC, SPROXY, IDOC
* Knowledge of functional areas e.g. PP, MM, QM, SD, FICO, HCM, SRM etc.
* Working experience on HANA platform is plus

* Good interpersonal skills and a team player
* Good communicating skills, including a high level in spoken and written English
* Ability to work in a multicultural environment with IT-tools/Systems development
* Strong business orientation and business acumen
* A strategic mindset on how SAP should, or should not be used in large organizations
* Able to travel on occasion
