Volvo IT has an exciting position available for an experienced SAP Basis Technical Architect to join a Global SAP Basis group. This position will have an important role in contributing to our SAP Landscape architecture and IM activities.
The SAP Technical team are looking for a strong SAP Technical Architect with significant experience designing End to End Architecture within the SAP Netweaver / PI space.
As the SAP Technical Architect you will be involved in all phases of the SAP Project including, Design, Planning & Coordination.
Main responsibilities:
Define best practices and standards for new SAP products
Define the skill sets required for realisation phase of projects and work with the project manager.
Participate in and advise on development/configuration activities
Responsible for that the IT infrastructure solution fulfils the agreed functionality and quality requirements given by the customer and in alignment with business policies and standards
Responsible to ensure that the solution supports the business policies, strategy and stakeholders concerns
Responsible to secure the production environment and ensure that the solution is reusable, standardized and efficient
Responsible to describe and document the infrastructure architectural solution
Responsible for communicating the infrastructure solution including constraints and tradeoffs to concerned stakeholders
Responsible for ensuring that the implemented solution complies with given specifications and customer quality requirements
Responsible for infrastructure solutions with a high level of complexity (e.g. global business, integration of bought packages, legacy environments)
Acts as a coach for other Infrastructure Architects
Qualifications and skills:
Deep and broad experience of SAP Basis area
SAP Architect, Technical Architect
Experience of UNIX and DB (Oracle and DB2)
Completed a SAP Basis certificationBachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or other training and experience required for the specific position.
Contributing in the IT methodology area and sharing knowledge through presentations.
A strong technical engineering background in one or more environments, at least 5 years
Have the power of initiative and driving force
Be Interested in working in a virtual, global and multicultural environment
Ability to establish and maintain good relations
Fluent in English
