Thermo Fisher Scientific's ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD), develops, manufactures, and markets complete blood test systems to support the clinical diagnosis of allergy and autoimmune diseases. THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced and driven training expert to join our European Commercial Sales Training team; where you will participate in the development, implementation and delivery of training activities aligned with the needs of the ImmunoDiagnostics Division (IDD).

AS SALES TRAINING SPECIALIST, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
• Be responsible for developing training to enable effective knowledge transfer for both the Autoimmunity (EliA) & Allergy (ImmunoCAP) Product Portfolio related to onboarding and competency development in the commercial team.
• Supporting our subject matter experts with your understanding of the learning cycle and principles of adult learning and accelerated learning techniques to design, develop and deliver successful training initiatives to build our commercial competence.
• Support the development of commercial skills competency namely selling skills and account management.
• Adopt a blended learning approach to training design and delivery including activities such as live and virtual classroom, webinars, online e-learning, coaching and mentoring.
• Establish a learning path for new commercial IDD employees (e.g. Lab Sales, Clinical Sales and Marketing) using a blended learning approach to enable them to quickly become effectively in role.
• Take responsibility to oversee the development of our online 'ELiA University' using effective instructional design techniques, to ensure modules are stimulating, engaging and optimize
• Liaise with our Global Marketing teams to maintain an overview training plan for Allergy & Autoimmunity to capture upcoming training needs to support new product launches and campaigns.
• Monitor and evaluate training program's effectiveness and support record keeping via ThermoFisher University.
• Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices and incorporate them into our programs as necessary e.g. instructional design, adult learning, and gamification.

TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
• To succeed in this role you must have either a recognized training qualification or worked in a dedicated training role within a related healthcare industry for a minimum of 12 months with a track record in designing and executing successful training programs.
• Must be able to confidently and effectively deliver training sessions (not just presentations) to both small and large groups.
• Must have a science related Bachelor's degree or have worked in the area of autoimmunity.
• Must have experience of working in healthcare sales or diagnostics and be familiar with a range of selling models, ideally Professional Selling Skills (PSS6)
• Must have an overall knowledge of the current healthcare marketplace, the ability to communicate disease concepts and link to targeted key selling messages.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. The ability to speak English is essential. Being able to deliver training in at least one additional language e.g. German, French, Spanish or Italian is a major advantage in the application.
• Be output / outcome focused and be able to see projects through to completion is essential as is the need to revisit and update training materials as necessary.

WE ALSO LIKE YOU TO HAVE:
• A background or experience in training, instructional design or educational content development.
• Experience of developing e-learning and administering LMS - ideally Success Factors. With a willingness to act as local administrator for the ThermoFisher Learning Management System.
• Good understanding of selling skills and demonstrate excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
• Experience of conducting sales coaching (PSC) or have a coaching qualification to improve salesforce effectiveness.
• Strong interpersonal skills, be able to "think on your feet", and be well organized and results focused.
• Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (instructional design, adult learning, mentoring, coaching, on-the-job, classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.).
• Ability to priorities, plan, multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong writing and record keeping ability for reports and training manuals.
• Must be willing to travel approximately 40% - 50% of time in and around Europe and be willing to work with the experts in Autoimmunity in Freiberg, Germany and ImmunoCAP Allergy in Uppsala, Sweden.

POSITION LOCATION
The role is field based and you will be required to deliver training throughout Europe, attend regular meetings with key stakeholders at our Freiburg and Uppsala sites. Being located close to an airport to facilitate easy European travel would be desirable.

TIME SCALE
The recruitment will take place throughout the summer with an anticipated start date 1st October 2018.
