You will be part of ABB Robotics - based in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots with associated control systems, software, arc welding products, track motions and motor packages. In Sweden, we are approximately 600 employees who are located in Västerås and Gothenburg. More than 90 percent of our production is exported and all the major automotive manufacturers are among our customers. The automotive industry and their subcontractors, as well as other industries such as the food industry, are the main users of robot-based automation. Welding, machine service, handling of material, grinding, packaging, and assembling are the most common application areas. The sales of robots and robot systems are managed by local ABB companies as well as by freestanding system integrators and OEM companies and these are the firms we call our business partners.
Tasks
As Sales Systems Owner, you will have the overall responsibility for Robotics sales tools, including product configurators and our e-commerce system. You will be responsible for process development and also for gathering and organizing new requirements as well as coordinating support and maintenance. Most of these tools are owned and operated by the ABB Group, however, a strong Robotics presence is required. Consequently, you will be our main contact towards business units, customers and suppliers worldwide. In line with this, you will represent our unit in reference meetings arranged by Global IS and can look forward to establishing a large business network, both internally and externally.
This is an exciting and broad role with operational as well as strategic responsibilities. You will not only ensure that our system runs smoothly on a daily basis, but also participate in the development of our e-commerce strategy to secure that future needs are met.
Requirements
We believe that you have a Bachelor's or Master's degree within IS/IT and, preferably, several years' experience from working within this field. Solid experience from IT involving project management, process development, technical processes and architecture is qualifying. Additional knowledge of e-commerce systems and product configurators is also advantageous. Fluency in English is a must, while other major languages are a plus.
You are an open and outgoing person with the desire and strategic capability necessary to develop and improve our system in the long run. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills enable you to network successfully with people on all business levels. Your creative mindset enables you to think outside of the box when analyzing and solving problems. Finally, you are a quality-focused team player with strong planning and organization skills.
