Come and join our dedicated team and contribute with your experience to help us build the global bio-pharma manufacturing equipment business of the next generation!Essential Responsibilities:Hardware Quotation Support (HQS) team evaluates customer requests and develops commercial and technical proposals for Customized BioProcess Solutions. We support the global commercial team and our quote packages have a value between hundred thousand to several million US dollars. We are now looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join us at HQS.As Sales Support Engineer, you will be working closely with global commercial teams and subject matter experts, to evaluate technical feasibility and develop the commercial solution, including time and cost estimates.You will be responsible for issuing quotes & technical packages that fulfill customer expectations and managing your own quote portfolio. You will be in charge of handing awarded customer orders to project execution team. In this position you will provide technical and application expertise to win the hardware deals and it may require travelling to customer site on short notice.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQ), interpret customer specifications and drawings.Work with customers to solicit input and feedback to meet quality and scope expectations.Issue initial risk assessment and document deviations from User Requirement Specification (URS).Generate business case to make sure the deal meets business objectives.Produce commercial and technical proposals that maximize profitability and add value for the customer.Ensure appropriate, timely responses. Maintain adherence to commercial, quality and regulatory processes and systems.Ensure effective an efficient communication across sales, design and other key personnel to support quote life cycle.Manage quote portfolio.Work tightly with Project Office to ensure smooth handover to production for awarded customer orders.Contribute to develop new processes for an efficient quotation process and share best practices.Support introduction of new technologies and automation solutions. Debora.Otero@ge.comQualifications/Requirements:Master's in engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical) or the same knowledge/experience.Demonstrated knowledge of bioprocessing and the manufacturing process of biopharma products.Demonstrated ability to understand and present complex material in comprehensible terms.Proven experience estimating labor hours and specifying material and components from technical packages.Familiarity with GMP and other relevant standards issued by FDA, ISO, etc.Good coordinator with capability to handle many parallel activities.Project management skills and works well in a matrix environment.Demonstrated ability to work in a rapidly changing climate and reacts well to change.Problem solving ability.Self-motivated and customer focused.Proficiency in English.EU work permit.Desired Characteristics:Practical experience from large Biopharma projects, working at Engineering Company or as customer in commercial manufacturing.Product knowledge and technical expertise within the Bioprocess equipment area.Experience with automation systems, process control systems and data historians for BioPharma applications.Experience with Unicorn control system and/or distributed control systems such as Emerson DeltaV are highly valuedExperience working with Salesforce.com.
