In this position you will be a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific's Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry division and will play a critical role in the market acceptance of an innovative portfolio of new products specifically designed for studies in Earth Sciences or Food Authenticity. This position will serve as the main Sales Specialist for a defined geographic region (ie: Scandinavia) and serve as the primary conduit to our customer base. Strong communication with the global core team to execute on strategies and contribute to the modification of tactics based on local market dynamics and competition landscape will be very important.
As the Nordic IOM Sales Specialist you will be our key representative in the region, your responsibilities will be varied and broad, and you will meet with many different people as you help us establish and grow the presence of Thermo Fisher's Isotope Masspectrometry products in the market. As a Sales Specialist your main responsibilities will be to maintain and develop strong customer relationships, enabling them to make the world healthier, cleaner and safer. YOU WILL:
• Be joining an international sales team and be responsible for selling the IOMS products in the Nordic territory.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships in the areas such as Geosciences, Forensics, Food science and other related areas.
• Identify key areas of growth potential and strategies to capture both short and long term growth.
• Always ensure that you maintain the highest professional relationship with our customers, striving to always meet their expectations and achieve customer loyalty, escalating issues if necessary to solve critical tasks in the fastest way possible.
• Develop and execute a strategic and tactical sales plan for specified region.
• Report on topics such as, customers, competitor activity and promotions to the business.
• Establish relationships with key suppliers and negotiate improved terms when possible.
• Have the possibility to organize and participate in marketing activities, scientific meetings, such as seminars, workshop or demo as needed to generate sales leads and qualify them.
• Work closely together with the ULS Field Service organisation.
• Develop synergies with colleagues from CMD and other Thermo Fisher divisions.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS :
• A University Degree (Masters or equivalent; Ph.D. preferred) in Geoscience, Food Chemistry or similar subjects.
• In-depth knowledge and user experience of Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry technology, preferably of Gas Isotopes Analysis and even other analytical techniques, such as chromatography.
• Good understanding of the Nordic Isotope Mass Spectrometry community
• Evidence of professional presentation skills, preferably associated with scientific publications
• Sales experience or at least an interest in working with technical sales.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• A Driver's license
YOU SHOULD BE :
• A strong communicator and happy to work in a customer focused approach.
• Able to work cross functionally and with many different types of people.
• Organised and have the ability to prioritise work load and manage multiple tasks at once.
• A Team player and also someone who can working independently and take responsibility when needed.
• Able to travel regularly, up to 60%, mainly in the Nordic region.
