New business development manager for a data & analytics vendor
Macrobond seeks an energetic, self-motivated sales representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for representing Macrobond's research solutions targeted at the financial services sector, including both potential and existing clients. Our clients include strategists, analysts and economists at investment banks, hedge funds, governmental organizations and large corporations worldwide.
We offer a position in a young, dynamic and international environment with fantastic opportunities for the right candidate. The position will initially be based in Malmö, Sweden with the possibility to be based in London after 1-2 years.
Your Responsibilities
In this role, you will identify our clients' needs and demonstrate how our solutions can help them make the best investment decisions and research by utilizing our data and powerful, analytical tools. Additionally, you will work closely with our product development teams identifying and aggregating client feedback and development needs in order to sell in this field. Finally, you will act as the primary contact for educating and training our clients in further developments and enhancements to our products. Responsibilities will include:
• Making the Macrobond data platform the choice among a select group of accounts.
• Working with clients to maximize their growth, usage and dependency on Macrobond by building strong relationships.
• Having a clear understanding of client needs and demonstrating a proven competency in the financial services sector.
• Generating new leads through researching, cold-calling and referrals.
• Having a comprehensive understanding of our product offering and identify opportunities to introduce our products to appropriate users.
• Providing high-level analytical expertise to clients.
Your qualifications
We are looking for an individual who has the right enthusiasm, confidence, drive and a strong sense of initiative to build our business. You must have well-developed sales and negotiation skills, ability to work independently and exceptional communication skills. You have a proven track record and a willingness to acquire knowledge of both our business and products.
We expect that you have a university degree in business, economics or communications. Ideally you have some knowledge of financial markets and previous sales experience. The position requires excellent English skills, additional languages a plus. Prior study or work experience in the UK, US, Australia or Ireland is desirable however not mandatory.
