HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufactures and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.
We are looking for a Sales & Operations Planning and Performance Manager for HVDC to act as the center of expertise for organizational demand & capacity planning with key emphasis on factual performance of departments. In this role, you will ensure that best practices are applied in tender and project resource management and will actively contribute to monitor and report performance indicators to the management. You will also provide operational support to the project directors and core team managers within HVDC on an ad-hoc basis. This is a role with many interfaces and interesting work tasks within engineering, material, production, supply chain, construction and other operational areas for HVDC projects.

This is a temporary position for one year that can become permanent.
Your responsibilities
Run the sales and operations planning process for HVDC, to ensure an accurate forecast of the capacity and demand throughout the organization
Interact with the tendering organization on regular basis to update the commercial scenarios
Continuously interact and support all the department managers within HVDC to forecast the workload and capacity for their respective departments
Present the S&OP forecast analysis to the core management team and share results with all the HVDC managers
Establish accurate performance indicators, best monitoring & reporting practices and ensure that this is applied in all projects
Compile information from different projects and tenders, analyze and make recommendations that assist effective management and decision making
Compare and analyze performance data from projects and predict trends and obstacles for different project scenarios

Your background
You have a bachelor's degree in engineering or business management or equivalent
Knowledge and experience from engineering procurement and construction (EPC) projects, preferably with Electrical Power Systems technology
You are structured, flexible and hold some qualifications in project management
You have skills in planning and controlling a time schedule and have prior experience using Primavera P6 or MS Project
Knowledge how to use Microsoft's Office suite of software, especially Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Fluent in written and spoken English, knowledge of Swedish is desirable
You are a dynamic and social person who enjoys working with people from various business areas and parts of the world
