We are now looking for a Sales & Operations Planner to join our Demand planning and Supply teams within the Operations department.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
In the position as Sales & Operations Planner, you will work both for the Demand planning team and for the Supply team. You will create a sales forecast and utilize it in purchasing material for Axis products. To produce the best forecasting data possible and handle incoming orders, you will work closely with Sales, Product Management and many functions within the Operations department. You will also work closely with our largest suppliers. The positions many interfaces will provide an excellent opportunity to develop a broad understanding of the Axis business, something that is important in order to function well in the position as Sales & Operations Planner.
Responsibilities will include:
• System-aided forecasting and planning
• Developing market knowledge and tracking market trends
• Tracking product portfolio changes
• Develop the Supply and Demand process to integrate creation, information flow and usability of the forecasting data in the supply chain
• Follow-up of forecasting accuracy, and resulting actions to improve the accuracy
• Responsibility for incoming orders from contract manufacturing partners. It includes the whole process from order placement, coordination with the Purchase-CLC-Logistics teams to monitor and follow-up deliveries, order confirmations, shipments etc
• Service/care, to handle challenging queries in an efficient manner
• To mediate and coordinate between the contract manufacturing partners and different departments within Operations
• Establish and nurture a strong relationship with our contract manufacturing partners. For this you need highest focus on customer satisfaction and excellent understanding of customers' needs in different cultures.
You will report to the Demand Manager.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe that you are a person with a strong personal drive who easily co-operates across organizational and cultural borders. Your analytical ability is sharp and you pay good attention to detail. You are goal oriented and well organized. You are always open and willing to learn.
We believe you have:
• A Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Business and Economics
• 2-3 years' experience from working in an international organization
• A strong interest in data analysis
• Strong multi-tasking and communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Strong ability to plan your own activities, to drive initiatives and to be responsible for the result
Furthermore you are fluent in English. Travelling is part of the job and thus required, we estimate 10-15 days/year.
THE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT
Operations is Axis supply chain organization. We work closely with the Research & Development department in industrializing new products to high volume and specified quality, and then run everything from demand planning, through purchasing, customer order management, production and logistics including shipments to our distributors.
Operations also have some key supporting functions like Quality, Production Preparation and Facilities. Once our customers know what they want to buy, Operations make sure they get it. In this we work closely with Sales.
