Surface Chemistry a business unit of AkzoNobel, operates in 50 countries, employing over 1500 people. We service a wide range of industries including agro, asphalt, cleaning, fabric care, mining, petroleum and personal care.
Responsibilities
We have an opening for a permanent position within the Sales & Marketing dept. - Asphalt Applications & Developing Segments EMEIA
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
• Supporting and managing the EMEIA Sales Team across the two Market Segments, to deliver on growth objectives
• Delivering on financial objectives
• Coordinating with TS&d to maintain alignment with business growth opportunities
• Lead marketing activities in the region for all segments
• Ensuring statutory and regulatory compliance of the businesses in the various markets
• Maintaining and building an engaged and high performing sales team
• Prioritizing sales resources in alignment
Requirements
• Chemist or Chemical Technologist, preferably with an MBA of equivalent
• 15 years experience in speciality chemicals
• Ability to work across large geographies and varied cultures
• Ability to work across a variety of applications
• Willingness to travel frequently
• Experience in managing teams at remote locations
• Willingness and ability to prioritize and delegate
• An interest to learn about new applications, meet new customers and work with different teams
We highly value personal qualifications. Previous experience within the company is qualifying. We already have preferred candidates.
This is a permanent position on a full time basis, reporting to General Manager Surface Chemistry EMEIA. The position is based in Stenungsund.
