As Sales manager for CALM, you will lead initiatives in the region and build capture teams to position and secure innovation funding for distributed energy and asset based optimization and management software solutions with regulators or other market/solution participants. You will promote and position ABB as the pre-eminent player in the provision of innovative and leading-edge Connected Asset Lifecycle Management (CALM) software solutions to deliver real benefits and return on investment to network operators and owners and help them to meet the challenges of operating a more flexible resilient and efficient electrical infrastructure.

With the help of your deep understanding of the energy sector, you will be responsible for defining the Go to Market plan and vision for the Grid Automation software solutions. In particular, you will be responsible for developing and securing new business in Scandinavia for the Distribution Automation & Distributed Energy Markets. In the Energy Distribution Sector, you will be focusing on our Grid Automation portfolio and create solutions such as Connected Asset Lifecycle Management (CALM). In your role as Sales manager, you will be responsible for creating and positioning innovative and comprehensive solutions that may compliment or potentially include other elements from ABB's Substation Automation portfolio, in order to enhance our customers' end-to-end operations.

Another part of your role will be to define and lead business development campaigns focused towards proactively influencing current and future customers in the adoption of ABB Grid Automation software solutions to drive revenue and sales growth. In addition, you will develop partnerships and identify acquisition opportunities with vendors who provide complimentary applications and solutions that can further support ABB's expansion and dominance in advanced network and asset management software solutions.

We believe that you are a driven and enthusiastic sales person with at least 10 years of experience with an electricity utility and/or with a provider of advanced hardware and software applications for power system automation and optimization. You preferably hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, or a relevant degree in Physics or Applied Mathematics. If you have experience of working in the power industry, this is considered a significant plus.

You have in-depth understanding of the use of, and need for asset based optimization and management software solutions within electricity utilities. You have professional solution sales and business development experience in the definition, development or deployment of asset management software solutions within electricity utilities. You have a deep understanding of the various methods of organizing and regulating electricity industries in Scandinavia. This knowledge enables you to gain a clear understanding of the role of a particular electricity utility in a particular region, and how that role affects the challenges faced by the utility and hence their asset-based software solution needs.

Experience of working in an international matrix organization is beneficial. Fluency in English and in Swedish or Norwegian is a must, written and spoken alike. Additionally, you should be willing and able to travel within Scandinavia and potentially within other parts of Northern Europe as necessary for the growth of the ABB business.

Reporting to the Northern Europe Marketing and Sales Manager, in this role you will be part of the ABB Grid Automation global sales team and responsible for developing and securing new business in the energy sector leveraging the strength of the complete ABB Grid Automation portfolio. You will focus sales and business development activity around distributed energy and asset based optimization and management software solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with the product management, sales and marketing organizations to drive growth and market share and be able to identify and create opportunities in the market to position ABB's unique software portfolio to challenge and displace the incumbent in new areas and expand the portfolio and share of wallet in existing markets.
