Smart Eye is leading the global market for Driver Monitoring Systems, which will soon be a standard component in every car. Monitoring the driver behavior is safety critical both for normal driving as well as for autonomous driving. We are constantly growing and are now looking for a Sales Manager who wants to join our team.

Our cutting-edge technology is designed to enhance safety and driver experience in vehicles, and we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager to drive international sales growth and expand our market presence with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.

You can find our modern office close to Järntorget, in the city-centre of Gothenburg, with great access by bus, tram, bike boat and car. On top of that, our espresso machine makes the best coffee in Gothenburg!

Your Role

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to drive the adoption of our driver monitoring systems and in-cabin sensing software within the international automotive market. The successful candidate will work closely with Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs to understand their needs, promote our products, and establish long-term partnerships. The role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry, strong technical knowledge of driver monitoring systems and a proven track record of success in international sales.

Reporting to: Solmaz Shahmehr, Executive VP Automotive & Applied AI

Location: Smart Eye AB, Headquarters (Gothenburg), Germany or USA (Michigan)
Must-have-skills:

Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive international sales growth of driver monitoring systems and in-cabin sensing software within the automotive industry.

Identify and prioritize target Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs to establish and maintain strong business relationships.

Understand customer requirements and work closely with our technical and product teams to customize solutions that meet the specific needs of each customer.

- Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfaction.
- Lead negotiations and work closely with legal and finance teams to finalize contracts and agreements.
- Provide accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence to senior management.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.

Proven track record of at least 5 years in international sales within the automotive industry, with a focus on selling advanced automotive technologies or software solutions to Tier 1 suppliers and OEMs.

Deep understanding of driver monitoring systems, in-cabin sensing software, and automotive safety technologies.

Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.

- Ability to travel internationally as needed.
