We've had the pleasure of helping this company to find their next Sales Executive who can take the enormous potential of its product lines and turn it into significant new business! This will involve maximizing revenue streams from existing clients and business lines but, it is also likely to come from creatively opening up new frontiers through knowledge of the space and through matching that knowledge against a list of established contacts.

About the company

This large global software company creates operational resilience for enterprises in demanding environments by looking after their technology estates to optimise performance, enhance efficiency and help prevent outages.

With the 'Enterprise' industry, and specifically for Asia, they are looking to break into new markets beyond the FSI, including as examples but not limited to - Cloud, E-Commerce, Transportation and Logistics, Telecommunications, etc., given a wider product set and solutions that are attributable to on-going partnerships and acquisitions.

The Role

As a Sales Executive you will bring in new and incremental revenue from new logos and from allocated existing accounts. The objective is to meet and exceed annual sales targets, which will typically exceed £0.5M ARR based on the aggregate first years' subscriptions of all licenses sold in that financial year. There will also be an element of PS sales involved to implement the software.

Given the above background, successful senior sales executives will possess the following skills:

• Several years of successful track record selling complex software into the enterprise market
• A working understanding of the enterprise organisations from medium size to large corporates.
• The ability to hunt for new business as well as grow revenue streams from existing clients. Creative, intelligent sales skills are required to identify and nurture sales opportunities within a finite prospect base.
• Comfortable executing complex sales cycles (sales, presales, legal, professional services etc.) are interacting with multiple players from the prospect (heads of IT, business line heads, project managers, procurement, legal etc.) over an extended period of time.
• The ability to qualify and prioritise deals so that the companies resources are focused on the right opportunities at any one time. In other words, a proven ability to manage a pipeline and close business.
• Ability to work in a self-sufficient fashion while pulling together and motivating the right virtual team for each opportunity. For example, working effectively with presales, management and legal on a large sales opportunity.
• A working knowledge of the application infrastructures and associated data flows that drive the operations and critical business lines.
• Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial environment where like-minded, bright people collaborate to win deals and grow the business.
• Strong, self-starting, driven attitude towards business growth. A rounded sales professional with added intellect and, in all likelihood a degree level education with strong written and verbal communication skills. Also, capable of communication at the right level with both technical and business leaders on the prospect side of the fence.
