Qualitrol operates manufacturing sites at the corporate office, Glasgow Scotland, Toronto Canada, Zurich Switzerland and in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The company serves the equipment and service needs of the electrical utility industry; generation, transmission and distribution.
Job Description
• The sales engineer is responsible for meeting company sales & market share goals in the assigned sales territory through sales to electric utility, end user customers and contractors and OEM (transformer & circuit breaker) customers.
• Plan and execute the sales effort for the assigned sales area (Scandinavia, primary market Sweden) to achieve company sales and market share objectives.
• Maintain direct contact with customer accounts in sales territory of assigned responsibility and regardless of distributor involvement with OEM customers.
• Work with Application Engineering and Product Managers to meet customers' product requirements.
• Assist Product Managers as needed to obtain industry and agency approvals unique to the assigned territory.
• Review competitors and competitive actions in region including product and pricing actions.
This position is located in Sweden and you have your office at home.
Qualification
• Engineering degree preferred, BSc or MSc (or accepted work equivalent)
• 3-5 years of outside sales experience selling to electric utility industry or working in electric utility companies
• Demonstration of successful account management, growth and new customer expansion
• Knowledge of electricity industry, Transformer & Breaker OEMs
• Demonstrated drive and success to successfully achieve revenue targets, grow market share
• Demonstrated success to alter customer specifications to include their products
• Knowledge of electricity industry
• Proven ability to learn complex / complicated new products, including self-study initiatives
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English and Swedish (other languages also preferable)
• Public presentation skills for group meetings (Powerpoint)
• Good interpersonal skills, time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong fact based management, data analysis, metric orientation for fact based decisions
• Ability to work independently & travel extensively
You are fluent in Swedish and have strong skills in both spoken and written English. Knowledge in Danish and/or Norwegian is a plus.
You are a pro-active business developer, have good analytical skills. You also have strong social skills and you can communicate with people on all levels.
