About the role

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Sales Director holds the overall responsibility for Emerson's Measurement Solutions business across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
As the Nordic organization transitions to an industry-segmented sales model, Emerson is looking for a Sales Director to lead Measurement Solutions across the region. This is a unique opportunity to shape the strategic direction, lead a high-performing team, and drive growth in a complex, matrixed organization.
As Sales Director, you will lead and organize the Nordic Measurement Solutions sales team of approximately 50 employees across the region to achieve and exceed business objectives, including bookings, margins, and overall sales cost management. You will ensure strong commercial execution while building a collaborative and performance-driven culture across the region.
You will be a key member of the Nordic Leadership Team, helping define strategic priorities and contributing to the overall success and vision of Emerson Nordics. This role combines strategic leadership, operational execution, and customer engagement, requiring a leader who can connect the dots across multiple stakeholders and markets.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Nordic Measurement Solutions sales organization to achieve and exceed growth and booking targets.
Drive the implementation of Emerson's segment-based sales strategy and ensure strong commercial execution across the Nordic markets.
Build and maintain strategic relationships with key customers and represent Emerson in complex commercial negotiations.
Develop and execute regional sales strategies in close collaboration with European business units and Nordic leadership.
Lead forecasting, performance management, and budget processes to ensure sustainable growth and operational excellence.
Foster a high-performing culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Who you are
You are a strategic problem solver who thrives in complex and dynamic environments. You have a track record of leading successful sales teams and delivering results, while maintaining strong customer focus. You are a proactive leader who can prioritize, plan, and execute initiatives effectively. Excellent communication and leadership skills are essential, as you will inspire teams, work cross-functionally, and interact with key customers.
Requirements:
Proven experience in proactive B2B sales leadership, ideally in hardware, instrumentation, or industrial solutions or equivalent.
Documented success leading large and/or geographically dispersed teams in a matrix organization.
Ability to develop and execute sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
Strong understanding of Measurement Solutions products, services, and value creation strategies or equivalent.
Demonstrated capability in building long-term customer relationships.
Experience collaborating across technical, commercial, and cultural boundaries.
Willingness and ability to travel in the Nordic region.
Fluency in English.
Driver's license is required.

Meritorious:
Knowledge of one or more Nordic languages is highly desirable.
University degree or equivalent in engineering, business, or related fields.
Experience from measurement instrumentation suppliers.
