We are looking for a seasoned Sales Director, I & C
Energy Management Business is one of six business units within Alstom Power. The Swedish unit was formed on 1 April 2010 as a part of gathering Alstom Power's automation resources (Systems, Products, Services, Hydro and Wind) into one joint organisation. We are now setting up the organization and need to recruit a Sales Director based in Norrköping.
The main objective of this role is to build and lead the Sales Department with full order intake responsibility. The focus of the job is to promote all EMB products in the Nordic-Baltic region and identify potential customers and opportunities. The ability to develop identified sales opportunities and eventually successfully close the sales and to meet set sales objectives is the key to success in this role. As Sales Director you will also coach sales managers and tender personnel.
The person will report directly to the Managing Director for EMB Sweden. This role includes participation in the management team.
The Sales Director will interact with internal/external customers, including making presentations and having technical-commercial discussions. The Director will effectively interact with internal functions such as tendering, procurement, finance, taxation, legal and project management with focus on proposal completion. Another important part of the role, once proposals are submitted to customer, is when relevant negotiate contracts. It is also the Sales Directors responsibility to transfer Sales projects to the project execution team.
The ideal candidate has significant experience as Sales Manager/Director of I & C or related area. The candidate is prepared for very demanding challenges the years ahead. You are primarily interested in operational sales, but capable of a strategic perspective. You also need a solid background as a Manager and know the importance of boosting moral with a positive and respectful way of leading personnel. It is essential that you have excellent communication, presentation and negotiations skills. You need to be fluent in Swedish and English. We also expect you to have good knowledge in commercial, contractual and technical aspects. You probably have an engineering degree or equivalent with speciality in Electronics, Automation, Computer Systems or Electrical engineering. You are used to the challenges working in an international environment and the processes of a large company. A fair amount of time will be spent visiting customers, which requires travel flexibility.
