The Gothenburg office houses 40 employees (Noders) working across a broad range of business services including product development, sales, support, marketing, finance and management.
We are now looking for a Sales Director to join our International Marketplace team in the Gothenburg office. This team provides sales and member support services for the European, Middle Eastern, African and Asia Pacific markets. In this role you will be expected to lead a team of proven and enthusiastic sales and support professionals to strive for even greater success. Skills and Qualifications
We are looking for someone with documented experience as a sales professional in Business to Business sales. The skills and capabilities development of the sales team is one of the main objectives of this role so experience from management is a must. You need to be capable of developing the business and of consistently hitting sales and service targets. It is crucial that you have the ability to inspire and coach your team while also having the courage to make the tough decisions that are sometimes needed. You need to think strategically but also be able work directly with your team to get the job done. You are a creative thinker with the ability to turn ideas into action, as well as, an excellent communicator who values good working relationships with both customers and co-workers.To excel in this role you need to be an experienced and accomplished salesperson with a university education. It is also essential that you have been successful in leading sales teams from diverse backgrounds and are completely fluent in English. Similarly, you will have experience managing in a professional sales environment characterized by sales processes, CRM systems and performance metrics. Familiarity with the unique characteristics of the charter market is an advantage but not prerequisite for success in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Sales Director’s primary role is to inspire, lead, manage and motivate the sales and support team. Setting the sales targets for the team and then working to support them in exceeding those targets will be your responsibility. Your goal will be to build a winning team for today and tomorrow. This will entail recruitment, coaching, motivating, training, forming personal development plans, holding appraisals and having annual compensation discussions. You will be playing a key role in ensuring that we continually improve our sales and support activities. You will work with the product and marketing teams to ensure member needs are met. You will also need to ensure that there is a long term plan in place, supported by market specific plans, along with key account and team member plans. You will be responsible for building a strong pipeline of new customers while ensuring the satisfaction of our existing ones. You will own pricing for your regions. Additional tasks include administrating the sales and expenditure budget process for your area and making sure that we have a clear understanding of the product. You should aim to win acclaim for our member support service and work with our members to help them build and develop their business. It is important that we work closely with our network of partners, so you will need to ensure that our partners know what we need and can focus on providing it. You will need to keep the company informed on changing trends within both the industry and the competition, so we can plan accordingly.The position requires extensive travel so some flexibility and planning is required from your part
