Packaging Solutions division develops and sells world class fiber-based packaging products and services. We constantly innovate and find new ways to replace fossil-based packaging with renewable, eco-friendly alternatives. Our high-end packaging solutions are used by leading customers and brands across multiple industries.
We are looking for Safety manager whose main purpose is to drive and develop safety culture and the safety agenda in the Stora Enso Packaging Solutions division in close cooperation with division Safety Director and our mills. This shall be done by utilizing the synergies within the division and coaching the operational leaders and employees.
This position will report to the Division Safety Director.
Main responsibilities:
• The Safety Manager will contribute to developing, monitoring and supporting implementation of the division safety strategy.
• Provide expertise and active coaching to the organization strengthening our Safety culture by being present in the organization
• Monitor and analyze the current safety performance.
• Create safety programs and concepts (theory into practice) together with the safety team.
• Harmonize processes where possible, benchmark and share within the safety team.
• Conduct safety audits.
• Ensure that the safety reporting and incident investigations, as well as related corrective and preventive actions, are carried out with good quality.
• Conduct and/or lead safety projects/training/coaching at the mills.

Qualifications
In order to succeed in this role, you have a strong track record in driving change in an international organisation including leadership focus with results. Your proficiency is based on Masters or Bachelors degree. You will need to have at least 3 years of experience in relevant field (Safety, Operations development, etc.)
As a person you are interested to learn more and becoming a leading figure in safety. You will need to have excellent communication and co-operation skills in order to be successful. You must be fluent in English.
Knowledge of Safety management system requirements such as OHSAS 18001 or ISO 45001 is a must. The person we are looking for is persistent, systematic and has a drive for results with a can do attitude, as well as a great fit to our Agile, Brave and Curious culture.
Experience from manufacturing in multinational and cultural environment with committed attidue is advantageous. We also value previous experience in project management.
This position requires extensive travelling.

The Safety Manager is expected to spend a significant amount of the time in our mills providing support (coaching, training and auditing). Our mills are located in Finland, Sweden, Baltic countries, Poland, Russia and China. The position shall be located in Europe, preferable in any of the countries where Packaging Solutions Mills are based.
