As a Safety Assurance Engineer, you will oversee, execute, and ensure safety activities within
Projects and Programs at Alstom. Your primary responsibility is to deliver secure solutions while
managing safety assurance in products and systems.

Responsibilities
Coordinate all the Safety Assurance activities on the project / system / product as per Safety process defined in Signalling Safety Instruction
Perform Safety analysis, manage Hazard Log, review RAM, Cyber, V&V, T&C activities from a Safety perspective
Define safety plan and manage safety workload and associated planning
Build the Safety Reports and/or the Safety Cases
Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product
Organize and attend periodic Safety Reviews
Defend Safety Case argumentations in front of internal (QS, Safety Assessor) and external (ISA) assessors; define and follow-up action plans to close the findings of the assessors
Manage (if any) the Safety Assurance Engineers involved on the project / system / product (Internal or external resources)
Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Advanced University or Engineering degree
English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation Experience
Mastering Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) and safety methodology & concepts/principles
5 years successful experience in safety assurance
Including 2 years in Railway business

Ability to say "no go" when needed and to support/elaborate plan/solution to deliver
Resilient (to pressure, to last minutes deliveries, safety issue management...)
Training capability in Safety
Ability to allocate/drive activities performed by others (SAE)
Desirable:
System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge
Experience in management
