The Environmental Protection department is responsible for the global environmental protection issues within Volvo Car Group such as management of environmental legal requirements, permits, strategies, targets and Energy Management. In order to strengthen our in-house competence within the environmental area, the global Environmental Protection department is looking for a Safety Advisor Dangerous Goods. This is a new role within Volvo Car Group and you will have the possibility to build up a proactive process and stronger network.
As Safety Advisor Dangerous Goods you will be a member of the global Environmental Protection department. It is within your responsibility to ensure that Volvo Car Group fulfils applicable laws and regulations regarding transport of dangerous goods. To educate employees, act as a specialist and support the organisation regarding dangerous goods will be other responsibilities of yours.
Main responsibilities
• Proactively ensure that Volvo Cars fulfills applicable laws and regulations regarding transport of dangerous goods
• Process owner dangerous goods globally
• Evaluate and implement new and upcoming legislation regarding dangerous goods
• Identify, communicate and support implementation of new legislation and regulations
• Ensure that concerned employees has appropriate and documented education
• Write an annual report regarding dangerous goods
Required qualifications
• Certified Safety Advisor by Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency (Myndigheten för Samhällsskydd och Beredskap, MSB)
• Five years working experience
• Experience of project management is meritorious
• Swedish and English, fluent in speaking and writing
• Driving license (B)
