Safegate is looking for a Supply Chain Manager within the product category Electronics - Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA), at the head office in Malmö, Sweden. In this position, you will be responsible for the purchase of the large quantity production of electronic circuit boards, which we are outsourcing to contract-manufacturers around the world.

Your work assignments
In this role, in addition to traditional purchasing duties, you get the opportunity to work with:

Participate in development projects by providing production related input regarding Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis and testing process and lead New Product Introduction (NPI). You will be our main link between the contract-manufacturer and development department
• Perform audits and quality assess contract-manufacturer, i.e. Rapid Plant Assessment (RPA)
Manage Request For Quotation (RFQ), do an analysis, benchmarking and suggest the best option
Work closely with our contract manufacturers and monitor KPIs, drive continuous quality improvements, efficiency and cost reduction projects
The role includes 30-40 travel days/year and you must be able to travel at short notice (within a couple of days) is essential.

Your background
You must have a technical secondary education, combined with at least 5 years of experience in electronics production or a Bachelor degree with at least 3 years from a similar role. You need to have experience of production related tasks as a production engineer or similar position. You must be familiar to proven manufacturing processes and quality methods such as Lean and 5S, and lead improvements within these.

We also believe that you are meticulous, structured, quality-conscious and a creative problem solver, who can easily make quick decisions in a fast paced environment. You are outgoing and are great at building relationships and networks, both internally and with customers and suppliers. It's important that you find it motivating to work closely with all participants and strive to make our customers satisfied. You are a good communicator and for the position it's a requirement that you speak and write English fluently as the majority of our suppliers are mainly located outside Sweden. Knowledge of Swedish and international experience from different cultures is an advantage.
