What you will be a part of
Surveillance provides efficient solutions for safety and security, for surveillance and decision support, and for threat detection and protection. The portfolio covers airborne, ground-based and naval radar, electronic warfare, combat systems and C4I solutions, and traffic management systems.
Electronic Defence Systems, a business area of Saab, is one of the world's premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, threat detection, location and protection. Saab Medav Technology (SMT) is seeking a dedicated Chief Financial Officer to lead their accounting/controller functions. This position will oversee a team as well as perform needed financial reporting, budget/forecast/finance activities and implementing risk management plans. This position reports to the Saab Medav Technology Managing Director with the worksite located in Uttenreuth outside Nurnberg, Germany. The position can be an international assignment.
Your role
Principal accountabilities are:
Assist in formulating the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans
Develop finance and tax strategies
Manage the budgeting and forecast processes
Provide financial metrics to drive performance and improve key financial reports and management information flows.
Participate in key decisions as a member of the SMT management team
Provide leadership, day to day management, and ongoing oversight of finance function.
Financial planning and ongoing advice and support to the SMT management team and Saab Business Unit
Construct and monitor reliable control systems
Ensure that record keeping meets the requirements of auditörs
Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts
Your skills and experience
We are looking for someone who thrives in a business-oriented environment where you can actively contribute to a high level of service. As a CFO you need:
Bachelor's degree in business administration
Proven leaderships skills
Good interpersonal / communications skills, and capability to engage and collaborate with many different counterparts in and outside the organization
You are strategic, analytical and result oriented
Fluent in English, preferable German as well
