What you will be a part of
Within Saab IT PMO we walk the extra mile to support the business of Saab. We are responsible for preparation, execution and hand-over Saab internal IT programs and projects as well as reporting Saab internal IT project portfolio, enabling prioritization and working with forecasting and planning for the resource needs based on scenario planning and business prioritization. The projects are run in cooperation across Saab and with our partners.A large part of the portfolio is supporting the business deals with IT solutions during the various step or either winning or executing the deals and we support the operations within enhancements, upgrades or consolidations of IT systems, improvements, upgrades or deployment of solutions.Last but not least we are also working in the IT technical forefront with solutions within the digitalization of Saab and our development environment. All program and projects are running in close cooperation with variuos stakeholder in the business.
Your role
As project manager within Saab IT you are an important contributor to the success of the company by managing projects, timely and efficiently, within the ICT to support the business needs. The project run within one or several business areas at specific sites, countries or across Saab globally. Saab depends more and more on having fast and timely access to IT-solutions to support the business, and excellent project execution is an important part in enabling our future success.In practice our projects execute within a wide range of functional areas;
• Mergers and acquisitions
• Development of new services
• Pre-studies for future services
• Application development, deployment, user training and upgrade
• IT environments to support our international business and future campaigns
• Industrial cooperation's
• Enhancements of production environments
• Continuous improvements within the Saab IT PMO and ways of working
All our projects work in close cooperation with corporate security, the Business Units, Market areas, partners and sometimes with authorities. Today, we have employees and consultants in Linköping (majority), Gothenburg, Stockholm, Karlskrona, Malmö, Båstad and Huskvarna.
We are well on the way to implementing a global ICT organization which means that your colleagues will be working also outside of Sweden. This role requires travelling within and outside of Sweden.
Your skills and experience
IT is a service organization and exists for the benefit of the business. In order to be successful you need to understand how to best support our business day-to-day as well as 1-4 years ahead. We think you are result-oriented, persistent, engaged and with excellent communication skills. You have a way of empowering your fellow co-workers and project team members to go the extra mile and you can both take on the helicopterperspective as well as digging into details when it is necessary. You always strive to improve your ways of working and to give your team the best possible prerequisites to succeed. You see a failure as a way of improving your knowledge and you have a proven record of successfully managing IT-projects and operational change projects with an IT content, in complex environments. We consider it as a merit if you have successfully managed projects with distributed teams in several countries or at different sites as well as project management using agile methods.You probably work today as project manager and we think you have a university degree in a relevant area and good knowledge of one or several project management methods. This position requires excellent skills in English and knowledge of other languages is a merit. As a condition of employment, candidates will be required to participate in a background investigation and/or successfully demonstrate eligibility to receive applicable Government security clearance.
