What you will be part of
Surveillance, a business area of Saab, is one of the world's premier suppliers of solutions for surveillance, and systems for detection, localization and protection of threats. The Business Unit Airborne Surveillance Systems is responsible for all airborne radar systems such as Airborne Early Warning and Control, Carabas, Gripen radar and also weapon data links and laser range finders.
Product Area Fighter Radar & Data Link is responsible for the systems and services sales business for fighter radar and data links. The responsibility includes all phases of work with our customers; winning the business as well as delivering the contracts.
Your role
As a graduate at Saab, you will participate in a programme that is uniquely designed to boost your career. As a Project Manager for Product Area Fighter Radar & Data Link you will lead an Airborne Radar or Data Link project. You will report to the Program Office manager. You will be responsible for a customer project, either as project manager or as assisting project manager. This means you will have responsibility for all project commitments, i.e. customer relations, deliveries according to contract, economy and time schedule. Aligned with the company business goals you will lead the project to fulfill customer requirements with good quality and good technical and economical end result.
You will lead a team of highly competent project members against objectives. You will cooperate with many functions within the organization. You are expected to build a network of contacts across geographical and organizational boundaries. The majority of your work will be done in Göteborg but you will be required to work in other locations as well.
You may also support Marketing & Sales in winning new business.
Your skills and experience
Academic degree in technology or economics
Result oriented leader with ability to create commitment from the project members
Strong drive, perserverence and ability to generate energy
Good ability to take decisions
Business understanding and customer focus
Overall view and ability to handle matters of diverse nature
Good ability to understand and to work in an international environment
Good communication and presentation skills in spoken and written Swedish and English
Knowledge in additional language is a merit
Good interaction skills
Interested in people and leading change
Some positions have tasks including defense secrecy. In such circumstances it will be required of you to conduct and receive an approved security clearance by responsible authorities.
