Advanced Engineering & Validation Manager
• To manage Global Accessory Engineering Validation -
Aftermarket products and enhancements are a growth business for both General Motors Europe (GME) and General Motors (GM) globally. Accessory Engineering is now seeking a Manager for Accessory Engineering Validation and Accessory Integration Engineers.
The work as an Advanced Engineering & Validation Manager within GME Aftersale Accessory Engineering is a challenging position in a global environment. You will have the possibility to learn and develop yourself professionelly within the position as well as within the company.
You will manage the Accessory Engineering Validation and lead, motivate and develop the members of the Global Accessory Engineering validation staff within GME, based in two locations: Trollhättan and Rüsselsheim. You will also manage the interfaces and contacts with vehicle engineering centers, which also include managing the validation budget, and manage the contacts with GME/Global Accessory Program management for advanced portfolio planning and EPE’s (Engineering Portfolio Evaluations).
We are looking for a candidate with higher technical education or equal practical working experience at least 10 years. You need to have a strong background in automotive engineering with specialist knowledge in validation. Leadership experience is an advantage.
As a global vehicle manufacturer it is essential to always keep up with the future technology demands. Therefore it it important that you are interested and up to date with knowledge of the latest and future trends and technologies in related fields. Since you will work in a global environmental you must be fluent in spoken and written English and have good communication skills. You must have the ability to work independently as well as a team member. You should be able to work cross-region and cross functionally which includes occasional travel, mostly within Europe.
