hela Sverige The Volvo Parts Purchasing function is responsible for planning, executing and follow-up of all purchasing activities within Volvo Parts globally. Volvo Parts Purchasing is responsible to purchase aftermarket parts for all Volvo Group truck brands, Volvo Buses and Volvo Penta.
Recently Volvo Parts Purchasing - VGP has established a new global function Business Office-BO & Global Strategies. Within this new function, Process & IS/IT is one of them. Volvo Parts Purchasing bought material value corresponds around 70 % of total Volvo Parts costs.
The person selected for the role will have the challenging task of working with IS/IT and process questions in an organisation that is currently developing in many areas. Flexibility and personal drive combined with good base IS/IT knowledge will be key to succeeding in this assignment
Responsibilities:
System and information analysis to support the Purchasing global organisation
Participate and lead global projects, within the Purchasing function
Develop and maintain systems & tools enabling efficient work for the VGP organization, for example financial reporting and follow up
Participate in different global process and IS/IT forum with other BA/BU, to secure VGP requirements
Participate from IS/IT & process side in integration projects globally
Qualifications:
University degree in Business Administration and or IS/IT
Broad experience within process and/or IS/IT
Knowledge of Data Bases and Excel
Project management skills
Innovative problem solving and strong analytical abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to network effectively across a diverse organisation
Demonstrating a strong track record of professional achievements
Distinctive English communication skills, both orally and in writing. Additional language knowledge is considered as a merit
Knowledge of aftermarket business is considered a merit
Knowledge of Volvo Group purchasing systems (GPS, ePurch, CSDB) is considered a merit
Knowledge of purchasing process is considered a merit
