hela Sverige Do you want to be an important part in leading development of the CAB for Volvos flagship product?
Do you have what it takes to lead during a big company change?
If yes, let us give you an introduction of our journey!
The focus on lowering carbon emissions and increase safety put a lot of new requirements on CAB development. Lowering wind resistance which is equally important to lower fuel consumption in combustion vehicles and as well to increase range in our electrical vehicles. Or to increase crash performance without the engine block present.
It is happening fast! This paradigm shift in the automotive industry introduces new demands on our speed of development. This is where our agile way of working comes into the picture.
We are looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) to the CAB stream for Volvo brand in Europe and common solutions.
About the position
The RTE's major responsibilities are to facilitate the stream events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value. RTEs communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
The RTE is part of the train leadership together with the Product Manager and the Train Architect. Reports to Chief Engineer CAB in Göteborg. The train operates with around 200 persons in Göteborg and 100 in Bangalore, India.
As an RTE you will also participate in the Lean-Agile transformation, coaching leaders and teams, in the new processes and mindsets. You will get an opportunity to work with both leadership, a clearly defined product (Volvos flagship) and being an important part of our ability to increase speed and creativity.
In this position you are in the middle of a continuous transformation and have the possibility to make an impact on Volvos products and future.
Who are we?
CAB department consists of 200 engineers and are based in Göteborg, we are responsible for the full CAB development including installation of technology in it. Everything from wind recistance, crash tests to body in white. The products are the FH, FM and FMX and the common solutions with other brands. We take this responsibility by working with many other development organisations
Who are you?
"Great teams are about personalities, not just skills". Like us, you believe that personal credibility, integrity, mutual respect and an inclusive approach to work are crucial characteristics. We believe that you value differences, can create a direction even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear and that you are an effective communicator.
You have a solid grasp of how to scale Lean and Agile practices and understand the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program.
Last but not least you appreciate socializing and having fun at work.
Required qualifications
M.Sc. Degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
Leadership experience
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Beneficial qualifications
It is meritorious to have one or more of the following:

We strive for an inclusive culture that leverages the strengths inherent in diversity. Above all, it is our people that make the difference.
Interesting and challenging? Are we a good match? Perfect, join the ride and make a difference!
