The Base Software product stream consist of over 900 ambitious and skilled engineers and responsible for:
* Body Function
* Comfort Functions
* Enabling Base Technologies
* Power and Energy
* Electrical Infrastructure
* Core System Platform

For each of these areas we have started an Agile Release Train (ART).

We are now looking for a Release Train Engineer (RTE) for the Body Functions ART. You will be responsible for facilitating the ART events and processes. It is also in the role to escalate impediments, manage risk, help ensure value delivery, and help drive relentless improvement.

The Body Functions ART has responsibilities that stretches from early phases until launch of new cars, and it involves development of customer functionality, system design, verification, hardware design and software development. The technical responsibility covers system solutions in various areas, among them Vehicle access, Locking, Alarm and Exterior Light. The ART is also responsible for developing a number of different electronic control units, some of them with in-house developed SW.

What you will do:
* Be a member of the ART Management Team, alongside the Product Manager and the
* System Architects
* Manage and optimize the flow of value through the ART
* Lead the Scrum Masters within the ART and secure clear backlog-driven development
* Facilitate PI Planning readiness and Facilitate the PI planning event
* Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mind sets
* Help manage risks and dependencies, as well as escalate and track impediments
* Facilitate System Demos

What do you need to have?

To be successful in this job, we see that you have at least 5 years of relevant work experience. What is relevant? It could be that you have worked as a project leader or have experience from leading teams and people. It is beneficial if you have engineering development experience, and preferably in an agile environment. A university degree can always be a good thing, but if you have equivalent experience that's fine too.

Your job is to motivate and coach skilled people in the ART and to ensure that they have the best prerequisites to perform their work. You will be working closely with the Scrum Masters within the ART, but will also collaborate with RTE:s and teams outside the ART. To ensure that the work is in line with the Solution goals, close cooperation with the Solution Train Engineer (STE) is necessary. A high level of organisational skills is needed and an understanding of the agile mind-set.
