The Finance Director (FD) is responsible for the overall management, direction, and integrity of the accounting, finance, financial reporting functions for the Roplan businesses in Sweden and subsidiary businesses located in the USA, China, and UK.
The FD actively participates with the Management Team in the planning, direction, and policy making of the company. As well, communicates and supports the strategic and operational plans of the business unit.
The FD provides direction to the accounting/finance staff as well as mentors and develops staff.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Partners with the leadership and senior staff in managing the business unit.
• Responsible for forecasting and budgeting. Key participant in strategic planning.
• Oversees financial analysis and management accounting functions with emphasis on improving profitability and working capital.
• Oversees and reviews monthly consolidated financial statements, applies accounting theory and IDEX policy as appropriate, and insures the timely and accurate completion of all reporting and deliverables to IDEX.
• Supports investment decisions by providing return on investment/net present value/etc., calculations and applies appropriate benchmarks to maximize returns.
• Manages talent by selecting, training, motivating, and developing the finance staff.
• Supports the team to improve, automate, and reduce complexity to maximize the contribution to strategic and business goals.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or MBA required.
• Professional Accounting qualification
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible accounting and leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in reviewing, analyzing, and implementing accounting and financial reporting standards.
• In-depth working knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Advanced analysis experience required. ERP experience required.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
• The FD acts as primary contact with external financial reporting customers such as the independent audit firm, bank, foreign credit insurer/broker, government agencies, etc.
• Leads and/or participates in special projects and assignments as required.
• Consistently operates at the highest level of integrity and is never willing to compromise with regards to ethical standards.
• Maintains and continually updates knowledge of the Company's product(s) and operating procedures to properly and effectively maintain accounting records which reflect the Company's operation and financial results.
• Assures that performance feedback/reviews, and follow-up on employee feedback, are performed on a formal and informal basis. Identifies and develops candidates for promotion. Performs hiring procedures as required and in accordance with Company guidelines
