Get to know us
You will work in a creative environment, in a section that is constantly looking for new challenges. Our mission is to develop systems and components in accordance with Volvo's standards and core values ??with focus on safety, quality and environment. Body Structure Section has a large network of contacts and works closely together with other technical areas. The assignments are complex and vary from concept development to introduction of a car model in production.
What you will do
You will ensure that Roof/BSI system delivers according to plan in a determined task structure (TTCQ) and you will lead the design tasks within a cross functional group. You ensure that there are proper requirements and balances those when needed. You will lead the sourcing activities according to the plan/cost, and quality are secured.
You will make sure all documents are released (part folders, 3D models, drawing, ESOW) and ensure all build series deliveries(VP,TT,PP,MP1) . You will make sure that there are a robust solution available according to test result
You will have the "worldwide" product responsibility! You will release technical documents and deliver quality assured system or subsystem solutions.
You will work to develop the system / function over time against the identified needs (strategy / project) and work actively with lessons learned and drive continuous improvements.
Who are you?
We see that you have a technical education, MSc, BSc or equivalent.
You have the ability to mentor and lead teams and show respect for collegaues within and outside the group.
You have good mechanical structure knowledge as well as complete vehicle. You have both practical and theoretical experience within the product development process.
