We in Epiroc rock drills and rotation unit's product line have a mission- Together we develop and deliver world class rock drilling technology that exceeds our customers' expectations.
Our core business at Epiroc rock drills and rotation units is to design, develop and manufacture hydraulic rock drills and rotation units. These products are the heart and soul of all our drill rigs no matter if they are used in surface or underground applications.
Join our team
Are you a mechanical designer with some years' experience from detailed mechanical design, maybe also knowledge from design in casted materials with high fatigue loads?
Do you want to experience the benefits of having everything you need to design world class products in close proximity to your own office?
Imagine what it would be like to have the Rock Drills Laboratory with all the resources needed to test anything from Rock Drills to individual parts, short functionality testing or 1000 hours life span testing just a short walk down the stairs from your office, and the production of all necessary parts in the workshop next door. Does this sound interesting?
Your mission
As a Mechanical Design Engineer at Rock drills team, you will design, develop and be part of validating our products. You will be working in new development projects but also with existing products with focus on service life and production improvements. You'll work closely with our laboratory engineers as well as production, marketing and aftermarket. Customer visits to learn from different applications and end users will also be an important part of your personal development.
Your profile
You have a Master's degree, or equal experience within mechanical design. Previous knowledge in casted design and hydraulics is beneficial but not required. As we use CAD and work in the PLM systems Creo and Teamcenter, previous knowledge in these are meritorious.
In this role you'll have to collaborate effectively across the organization, so good command of written and spoken English is necessary. You are a communicative and social individual as well as analytical, goal oriented and you enjoy taking ownership of your work.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden.
