Robotic Process Automation Project Manager

Description of the Unit

Digital Transformation & IT is a newly formed unit within Group Function Technology & Emerging Business, with the aim to drive our digital strategy, vision and to ensure cross-functional execution. Automation & AI is a key theme of Ericsson Digital Transformation and competence is now consolidated to drive business transformation through automation, and to ensure a secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations.

The Automation & AI Execution unit owns the overall roadmap to drive automation across Ericsson and the program ensures that RPA, and other automation tools, is implemented in a consistent way across Ericsson through (re)using best practices, methodology, trainings, ways of working, etc.
The Robotics Process Automation Project Manager will be reporting to the Head of Automation & AI Execution.

Job Description
The RPA Project Manager is an active member of the RPA program within the Robotics Center of Excellence (CoE) working together with other RPA Project Managers, Business Analyst, Technical Architects, Developers, Quality Assurance, etc.

Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget
• Perform Process Study across Units and build Process Maps
• Identify Automation opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, mitigate risks
• Understand Business requirements / challenges, document scope & objectives, evaluate & identify appropriate Technology solution to meet the requirements
• Manage multiple stakeholders Clients, BU SPOCs, Partners, Vendors, etc. to achieve the desired benefits
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, manage project scope, schedule and costs
• Report Project Metrics and escalate to management as needed
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks and report in a timely manner
• Manage multiple projects with smart prioritization of tasks and deliverables

Additional Requirements
• Project and People Management - proven experience in managing projects, effective time management, following and meeting deadlines, as well as, managing teams. Experience in creating, managing, and following budgets
• Cross-Functional Organization Understanding - deep understanding of how the global organization works and interact between different function/units. Ability to break down complex processes
• Business Requirement Understanding - ability to understand the needs of each business unit and/or business driver and sponsor. Ability to translate business need into Robotics "language"
• Deep Robotics Operating Model Knowledge - acquainted with the RPA delivery methodology and post-delivery framework, along with the best practices and standards for implementing robots
• Managing robots - deep understanding and know-how of managing robots across the different environments. Ability to support the work of developers
• Pro-active approach - ability to identify possible operational issues and work to avoid them before they happen

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
• 8-10 years of relevant professional work experience with at least 4 years of experience in project management
• Prior process consulting, management, supervisory or team leader experience
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in Six Sigma, Lean Process Management frameworks
• Experience with Web Applications, Data Management tools, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools
• Hands-on experience in the areas of Automation and Project management
• Superior influencing, presentation and communication skills
• Experience working with onshore and offshore vendor/partners
• Experience working across all phases of SDLC including Production Support & Enhancements

The following is a strong plus:
• Hands-on experience on some RPA tool
• Solution architect experience
• Developer experience
• Consulting

Soft Skills
• Integrated approach - ability to foreseeing projects roadmap and have overview of all tasks and deliverable within the project teams
• Strong Communication Skills - Ability to express and formulate clearly and concise any proposal, status, and issues
• Analytical Approach - use of an appropriate process to break problems down into the smaller pieces necessary to solve it
• Process Mapping: Experience mapping processes at a very deep level of detail. Waste reduction, Lean or similar certification is an advantage

• Experience in process mapping tools (i.e.: Microsoft Visio, iGrafx Flowchart, Aris, etc.)
