hela Sverige The SKF Group Manufacturing Development Centre in Gothenburg is the central research and development department for manufacturing processes used in SKF. With 81 employees of various nationalities it's role is to reinforce SKF's technical leadership in manufacturing and processing of rolling bearings and related products.
As Robot specialist, you will be a key person when it comes to robot and automation knowledge. You will be responsible for monitoring the trends on the market regarding robotics and related systems. You will be part of development projects aiming to automatize SKF production with new manufacturing concepts.
Job responsibilities
• Define and start up robot systems
• Knowledge provider in robot area
• Develop and visualize new automation concepts in cooperation with different SKF specialists
• Run tests with robot systems related to new manufacturing /automation concepts
• Define future demands on robot system and cooperate with different robot suppliers
• Develop SKF's robot strategy
Job Requirements
• Minimum 5-10 years of experience of robot systems
• MSc in automation/mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
• Broad technical understanding
• In depth understanding of the general demands for high volume production
• Good understanding in automation and integration
• Good understanding of technical requirements for automated production systems
• Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing
• Experience in IoT is an advantage
• Knowledge in NC and PLC system is an advantage
• Experience in bin picking or other 3D picking applications is an advantage
• Experience from working with customer relations is an advantage

• Willing and able to travel
