Production Automation in the automotive industry has traditionally been the core activity of VDL Steelweld. Throughout the years we have built up a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in production automation and systems integration in the broadest sense.
We have gained experience with the design and integration of a large number of systems in the field of controls, joining technologies, robotics, transport- and handling systems, clamping fixtures and specialized equipment. Moreover, we have all required engineering, manufacturing and assembly disciplines such as mechanics, electronics, pneumatics / hydraulics, PLC programming and robotics available within our own organisation.
VDL Steelweld generally works directly for automotive manufacturers, with Jaguar Land Rover, Ford, Volvo and BMW as some of its major clientele.
The tasks and responsibilities of a robot programmer are focused on software preparations, commissioning, and programming of robots in an production invornment.
Essential requirements:
• Experience with ABB IRC 5, and KUKA robots
• Experience with production Lines in body-in-white
• Experience with servo welding guns
• Fluent in English spoken and written
• Quality minded.
Desirable requirements:
• Experience with ABB robot studio
• Know with downloading programs delivered by Process Simulate
• Experience with Teamster Glue installations
• Electrical skills to help with solving IO errors
• Fluent in German spoken and written
• Fluent in Swedish written and oral.
VDL Steelweld can help with accommodation and interview for the temporary contract.
In case of a permanent contract VDL Steelweld will also support the employee with reallocation (cost to be discussed in a later stage).
