As product manager in the regional sales support team your main responsibility will be support to hubs and dealers in execution of activities to reach sales goals and strategic targets through the use of competence sharing, sales tools and regional / dealer competence development.
As product manager you will be the expert for Road Machinery products within the region. You will also collect, evaluate and feed customer requirements to global functions and development projects.
As product champion you will be responsible for ensuring that the product development needs of the region are secured and that new road machinery products are launched successfully in the region.The intro has an eye-catching purpose. Make it sensational to applicants!
ROLE DESCRIPTION
Assure that the hub team and its dealers have sufficient product competence
Assure that the region has up-to-date product training material per product line
Work in conjunction with the area business manager to identify & track potential sales of Road machinery products with our distribution partners
Support area business manager by recommending required activities & commercial actions to close sales of paving products
Suggest market related standard specification and tender specifications per market and business opportunity
Assure that the region has up-to-date information on competitor with sales arguments adopted to regional needs
Suggest and drive activities in the hub based on competitive situation and strategic targets per product
Collect and report on product line related competitive activities, customer buying criteria's, and regional product needs to product strategy functions
Support Regional marketing team with planning & execution of exhibitions, Product Launch & Volvo days activities
Champion the needs of the EMEA region in product development projects
Ensure that relevant EMEA stakeholders are kept informed about future product development
Secure volume forecast and price commitments from the hubs for input to product development projects
Ensure the successful launch of new road machinery products in EMEA
Location
Flexible within Sales region EMEA approved locations.

Required knowledge and experience
A genuine interest and willingness to learn about products and applications
Product competence, technical understanding
Customer oriented, business mindset
Ability to transfer competence
Fluent in English required, additional language(s) are a plus
University degree in a relevant discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience
Competence in related Road Machinery products (Pavers, Compactors) Working knowledge of the Road construction Industry & application of VCE products
Proficiency in the use of personal computers, including skills in Volvo standard software
Experience of working in an international environment
Good communication skills and the ability to interact with people on all levels and from a variety of cultures
Ability to work unsupervised in a productive and structured manner
Frequent travel required
