Currently we employ approximately 120 professionals from many countries. The area of operational risk management is an area that is subject to a great amount of attention in the industry and in Nordea.

The position we offer
The vacant positions are within our Reporting & Analysis team.
One role is aimed at enforcing the efforts within operational risk reporting. GOR has the responsibility of ensuring the consolidated risk reporting on operational risks to senior management and internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory reporting.
The other role also includes data analysis across larger sets of internal and external data (e.g. Big Data) seeking the identification of trends and emerging risks. The focus may also be extended to include forecasting and stress testing of operational risk losses. GOR also develops and maintains the operational risk appetite and capital adequacy frameworks.
These positions have in common that you will not only step into the team to assume an active role in the creation of various types of reporting and analysis, you will also play an important role in shaping the future of GOR. This will be done in an environment that is undergoing a significant amount change, which necessities an analytical yet dynamic approach to the reporting and analysis landscape, while taking into account and adhering to the regulatory requirements.
Depending on your qualifications and motivation we will design your position to ensure a steep learning curve where you are challenged and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Nordea operational risk management framework.
Your roles will ultimately support the team in developing best practice tools and processes to take operational risk management to the next level.
The position may require some traveling. Work place is in any of the Nordic capitals.
The qualifications you need

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
• A relevant academic background, e.g. economics, finance, or similar.
• Great analytical skills and ability to challenge data.
• Experience with reporting, in particular senior management and regulatory reporting,
• Excellent English language skills.
• Great stakeholder communication skills.
• Responsibility to meet tight deadlines.
• Command of one or more Nordic languages is desirable.
• Experience from capital adequacy, risk management, corporate governance or internal audit is considered an asset but not a prerequisite.
For the analysis role, emphasis will further be put on the following qualifications:
• Academic background that has given you a platform for working with analytical tools, data and statistical modelling.
• Experience in modelling on data (statistical and logical) to explore and discover causalities in data, stress testing experience is desirable.
