We are now looking for a driven, analytical and people-skilled Risk Controller who would like to drive development of methods and processes to ensure that we are on top of all Credit, Market, Liquidity and Operational risks. This person will join the Risk Control team at our headquarters in Stockholm.
Reducing risk and being "one step ahead" of the business
Risk Control at Klarna is an independent function reporting to the CEO and the Board of Directors. The purpose of the function is to protect Klarna's financial performance and reputation by ensuring smoooth risk management throughout the organisation.
The role
As a Risk Controller you will act as an ambassador for the risk culture, by monitoring, challenging and advising the business in risk management. Responsibilities include:
General
Establish and implement policies and framework for risk management
Credit Risk, Market Risk and Liquidity Risk:
• Perform independent monitoring, control and reporting.
• Drive development of methodology, tools and metrics
• Perform validation of financial risk models and be actively involved in Klarna's ICAAP/ILAAP (IKLU) process.
• Work closely with Treasury, Finance and Analytics (Credit)
Operational Risk:
Participate in the development of strategy, methodology and tools related to Klarna 's operational risk management processes.
Support the business in operational risk management (e.g. perform risk assessment and follow up major incidents).
Who are we looking for?
You have a relevant university degree and work experience within risk management from the financial sector. The experience includes working with methods and models for Credit Risk, Market Risk and/or Liquidity Risk. You also have an understanding of the financial regulatory environment and have knowledge of, and interest in, operational risk management.
You have strong people skills and are a true team player. With great integrity you are an advisor who does not shy away from challenging those around you. You have a creative and structured way of working to constantly improve the way things are done. You always look for ways to broaden your expertise and develop yourself.
