Expansive Worlds is a creative division of Avalanche Studios Group and a leading developer and publisher of outdoor games. Since 2009, Expansive Worlds has been devoted to delivering highly immersive outdoor gaming experiences for millions of players and best known for the long-standing and successful theHunter franchise.

In 2022 we launched Call of the Wild: The Angler, an open-world fishing experience, which is now in its first year of an exciting live service where we will continue to grow and expand the game.

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Rigging Artist.

The Position
As a Rigging Artist, you will be responsible for skinning and rigging characters and other in-game objects, setting-up and maintaining DCC animation pipelines and facilitating animators. A Rigging Artist works closely with animators, character artists, animation coders and technical animator to create tools to streamline the animation process.

Required Qualifications

Strong knowledge of Maya/MotionBuilder character rigging (full body / facial) as well as character skinning and physics simulation setup (clothing / hair)
Python scripting experience in MotionBuilder/Maya
Experience with motion capture pipelines and retargeting.
Clear and open communication skills
Excellent problem solving skills
Desire to work as part of a team; taking feedback and direction appropriately, and the motivation to work independently

Bonus Qualifications
Shipped at least one title or equivalent project
Experience working on open world games or FPS games
Familiarity with figure and facial anatomy
Experience working with a proprietary engine
Familiarity with character pipelines, such as modeling
Strong knowledge of traditional animation techniques and characters movement principles.
Good knowledge in Math
