Rig Operator

We have two questions for you
Do you want develop, run and maintain the virtual test environment of the future with the latest technology in Volvo Cars complete electrical system?

Do you want to work with the big picture but still have the opportunity to dive into the details?

What you will do
As a HIL rig operator, you will be keeping the rig up to date regarding SW and HW, fault trace if needed and support other testers doing tests in the rig. Together with your colleagues, you will further develop the HIL concept by improvements regarding modeling in Simulink, HIL solutions and test automation to enable "Continuous Integration". You get a broad understanding of Volvo Cars Vehicle systems and electrical functions. You will also work with other groups at Volvo, our suppliers and create a wide network.

What we do
Complete Electrical HIL, have the responsibility to develop and maintain HIL rigs (Hardware in the Loop) at complete vehicle level. In order to test the vehicles software in early phases, we build HIL rigs for several different car projects. The purpose of HIL is to stimulate the system and its components to believe they are sitting in a real vehicle with all their dynamics. This is achieved by simulating environmental models that execute in real time in dSpace HIL. We secure that the HIL rigs can be updated with new technology to support future projects such as electrification and autonomous vehicles.

The tasks given to you can vary in complexity, and that is why we are open to the level of your engineering education which could be from either technical high school or from university. For these positions, we need you to be fluent in both Swedish and English as we have high speed communication in both speech and writing in both languages.

Requirements
* Master degree or B.Sc. grade within electronics, physics, mechatronics or a similar education.
* High School Technical degree (Gymnasieingenjör)
* Swedish and English fluently spoken and written

Meritorious:
* Worked with building HIL, MIL rigs and automated test systems in dSpace rigs
* Development of vehicle software
* Verification in vehicles at system or functional level
* Test cases, testing automation
* Vehicle communication (CAN, LIN, Flexray)
* Programming in Matlab or Python
* Model development in Simulink
* Driving license B
